The short version: Chess Echo collects no data. None.

Details

No data collection. Chess Echo does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information, usage data, analytics, or identifiers of any kind.

No account. The app requires no sign-up, login, or registration.

No internet required. Chess Echo works fully offline. All game logic and all voice audio are contained within the app. The app makes no network requests.

No ads. Chess Echo contains no advertising and no third-party ad frameworks.

No tracking. The app contains no analytics SDKs, no tracking technologies, and does not use the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA).

Local settings only. Your preferences (board theme, voice, speed, volume, toggles) are stored locally on your device and never leave it. Deleting the app deletes them.

Children. Because no data is collected from anyone, no data is collected from children.

Voice audio

Move announcements and commentary are pre-recorded audio files bundled inside the app, generated with the open-source Kokoro-82M text-to-speech model. No speech is recorded, no microphone access is requested, and nothing you say is captured — the app only plays audio, never listens.

Changes

If a future version of Chess Echo ever changes any of the above (for example, by adding an online feature), this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the App Store privacy label will be updated to match.
